The 1900 Cup is an international boys' youth football tournament organised jointly by the Spanish sports event company SWIT SPORT S.L. and RCD Espanyol de Barcelona, held in the Barcelona area during Holy Week. 📅 Dates According to the official terms, the 2027 tournament runs for four days, from March 25 to 28. Preliminary (classification) matches are played on the morning and afternoon of Thursday the 25th; the opening ceremony is held on the morning of Friday the 26th, followed by more preliminary matches in the afternoon. The final round is played on Saturday the 27th, and the event ends on the morning of Sunday the 28th with the finals, awards and closing ceremony. Teams using the organisers' accommodation must arrive by noon on March 25. 📍 Venue It is a multi-venue tournament using several facilities. All pitches are natural or artificial grass, so aluminium studs cannot be used. RCDE Stadium, where the opening ceremony is held, is in Cornellà de Llobregat, and Ciutat Esportiva Dani Jarque is in Sant Adrià de Besòs. ✈️ Airport transfers The organisers offer an optional return transfer between the airport and the hotel. The price depends on the size of the group, so contact info@1900cup.com in advance. ⚽ Divisions There are eight boys' divisions. · 11-a-side — U15 (born January 1, 2012 or later), U14 (January 1, 2013 or later), U13 (January 1, 2014 or later) · 7-a-side — U12 (January 1, 2015 or later), U11 (January 1, 2016 or later), U10 (January 1, 2017 or later), U9 (January 1, 2018 or later), U8 (January 1, 2019 or later) 7-a-side teams must register at least 9 players, and 11-a-side teams at least 14. ⏱ Format Each division is split into groups of 5 teams playing a single round-robin. Preliminary matches are played on Thursday and Friday; group winners and runners-up go to the Gold round, 3rd and 4th to the Silver round, and 5th to the Bronze round, continuing from Saturday morning. Matches are a single 25-minute period for 7-a-side and a single 35-minute period for 11-a-side; finals are two halves of 15 minutes for 7-a-side and 20 minutes for 11-a-side. Half-time is 2 minutes and teams cannot enter the changing rooms. Each team has three substitution windows; using a window requested by the opposing team does not count toward a team's own total, and substituted players may return unless sent off. Points are 3 for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss, and referees are from the Catalan Football Federation. 🏟 Organisation The tournament follows FIFA, Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and Catalan Football Federation (FCF) rules. Hotels are assigned by the organisers and announced 15 days before the tournament. Accommodation is full board for all, and the first meal is lunch on March 25. Participants using the organisers' accommodation can use the shared buses to the grounds and the finals venue. Optional services include transport during the tournament, extra nights before or after, pre-tournament training and friendlies, and visits to sights in Catalonia. All participants must submit a parent or guardian consent form for the use of their image, and teams must arrange insurance for their entire group themselves.
How to enter
Entry is made by completing the form on the official website and then paying a deposit within the set deadline. Places are limited and are filled in the order teams confirm. 1. Entry form — Complete the registration form (Inscripciones 2027) on the official website. A confirmation email is sent once it is received. 2. First payment (deposit) — Within 10 days of submitting the form, pay 750 euros per team (using the organisers' accommodation) or 250 euros (taking part without accommodation). Your place is held for these 10 days, but if payment is not made in time, the place passes to another team. This amount is deducted from the final entry fee. 3. Second payment — Pay 50% of the total by January 15, 2027. 4. Third payment — Complete 100% of the total by February 19, 2027. If deadlines and amounts are not met, the final cost increases by 15%. 5. Confirm numbers — By January 11, 2027, report the total number of players, coaches and companions staying in accommodation. By February 8, details of all participants staying in accommodation and the allocation of companions must be confirmed; registrations and list changes after that require the organisers' approval. 6. Lists and documents — By February 26, 2027, register all players and coaches taking part on the tournament platform. The list cannot be changed once the tournament has started. Players must bring ID (DNI, passport or player licence) to every match, and age checks may be carried out without prior notice. Only accredited persons may enter the technical area, and all participants must wear the wristband provided.
