Details

Mundialito Panguipulli (Mundialito Internacional de Fútbol Infantil Panguipulli) is an international youth football tournament hosted by the city of Panguipulli in the Los Ríos Region of southern Chile. The 2027 tournament is the 10th edition and is run by an organizing committee formed jointly by the Municipality of Panguipulli and the Panguipulli Municipal Sports and Recreation Corporation. 📅 Schedule According to the official tournament rules (Bases X Mundialito 2027), the tournament begins on Saturday, January 30, 2027 with an opening ceremony at the Panguipulli Municipal Stadium. The first group-stage matches are played at each venue on Sunday, January 31, and the group stage continues until Tuesday, February 2. The second round is on February 3, the third round on February 4 and the semi-finals on February 5, followed by the parallel division final on February 6 and the official division final on February 7. 📍 Venues The main host city is Panguipulli, with nearby areas including Lanco, Loncoche, Gorbea, Pitrufquén, Freire, Liquiñe, Coñaripe and Choshuenco also serving as venues. More venues may be added. ⚽ Divisions There are two divisions, the official division for players born in 2014 (Sub 13) and the parallel division for players born in 2012 (Sub 15), with limited places. With the organizing committee's approval, players born in 2015 and 2013, one year younger than each division, may be registered as an exception; in that case a declaration from a parent or guardian and a document confirming the responsibility of the registering institution's representative must be submitted. Each institution may register up to two teams, one per division, with up to 22 people per team including players and coaches, and female players may also be registered. The parallel division gives priority to institutions from abroad and Chilean institutions travelling more than 300 km from the main host city. ⏱ Format The group stage is played as a round robin within each group, and the top two teams in each group advance to the next round. Points are 3 for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss, and rankings are decided by points, goal difference, goals scored, head-to-head result, fewest goals conceded and a draw of lots, in that order. From the second round to the final, drawn matches are decided by penalty shootout. Matches are two halves of 30 minutes each for Sub 13 and 35 minutes each for Sub 15, with a 10-minute break for both. Each institution must submit its match line-up at least 30 minutes before kick-off. 🏟 Organization The organizing committee consists of staff from the Municipality of Panguipulli and the Municipal Sports and Recreation Corporation, and a separate operations team is assigned to each venue. Participating delegations stay in the sports villages (Villas Deportivas) provided by the organizers and receive breakfast, lunch and dinner. Accommodation and meals are not covered for people beyond the standard delegation size of 22. All delegations must attend the opening ceremony and take part in the parade and the commemorative photo. The opening ceremony is attended by the press and broadcast live. 🌊 About the Area Panguipulli is a city in the lake district of the Los Ríos Region in southern Chile. Among the venues, Coñaripe is the centre of a local community surrounded by Lake Calafquén, mountains and native forest, while Freire and Gorbea are towns in the Araucanía Region; Gorbea is known as the 'land of forests' because of its large native forests.

How to enter

Registration begins with pre-registration (preinscripción) on the official website, followed by a review by the organizing committee and then formal registration. 1. Pre-registration — Click the pre-registration banner on the official website mundialitopanguipullichile.cl and enter, in order, the institution's details, its official logo (high-resolution PNG), country, agreement to the participation conditions and the preferred division. The pre-registration period for the 2027 tournament is from June 1 to September 30, 2026. 2. Review and notification of results — Pre-registration does not guarantee a place. A committee appointed by the organizing committee makes the selection based on the institution's sporting and institutional record, previous participation, conduct, development prospects, regional representation and contribution to the tournament. Institutions that apply by August 31 receive their results from a committee meeting held before September 15. Results are sent by email, with one of accepted, rejected or waitlisted for each of Sub 13 and Sub 15. 3. Entry fee payment — Teams from Europe, North and Central America, Asia and Oceania are exempt from the entry fee (organizers' notice of September 21, 2026). For other teams, the fee is 300,000 Chilean pesos per division for both the official and parallel divisions. Chilean institutions pay into Banco Estado current account 71909000011 in the name of the Municipality of Panguipulli (RUT 69.201.200-3) and send enquiries to roberto.gutierrez@munipangui.cl. Institutions abroad pay by Western Union and request the recipient details from the general coordinator (juan.eugenin@municipalidadpanguipulli.cl). 4. Delegation registration — After the pre-registration results are released, register the list of players and coaches on the website. A delegation is 22 people including players and coaches, and up to 22 people can be registered per division. Accepted institutions must upload player photos as PNG files with a transparent background in a 1:1 ratio using the account assigned to them. Waitlisted institutions wait until the registration window reopens. 5. Documents to bring — Players must bring an identity card, DNI or passport. Chilean players whose identity card is still being issued may use a certificate with a photo issued by the civil registry instead. 6. Travel and stay — Participating teams pay only for return flights from their home country to Chile. Accommodation, three meals a day, return transport from Temuco airport and transport during the tournament are covered by the organizers, and teams eliminated early also receive free accommodation and meals from January 29 to February 7.
