Madrid Int. Cup Winter is an international boys' youth football tournament held in December in Madrid, Spain. The 2026 tournament is the 11th edition and runs from 5 to 8 December (4 days, 3 nights). 📅 Schedule · Saturday 5 December — Team arrival and check-in, delivery of tournament documents, hotel check-in · Sunday 6 December — Tournament opening, group stage in the morning and afternoon · Monday 7 December — Group stage in the morning, knockout rounds in the afternoon · Tuesday 8 December — Finals and awards ceremony 📍 Venue All matches are played at the Hortaleza Fields in Madrid. The pitches are high-quality natural grass and artificial turf. ✈️ Airport transfers Transfers between the airport, hotel and pitches are offered as an optional service at 80 euros per person. They include airport to hotel on arrival, hotel to pitches on each match day, and hotel to airport on departure. Teams with their own vehicles do not need to use them. The airport name and travel time are not listed on the official website. ⚽ Categories · U10 Benjamín — 8-a-side, born 2017–2018 · U12 Alevín — 8-a-side, born 2015–2016 · U14 Infantil — 11-a-side, born 2013–2014 · U16 Cadete — 11-a-side, born 2011–2012 · U19 Juvenil — 11-a-side, born 2008–2010 Up to 22 players can be registered and called up per 11-a-side team, and up to 16 per 8-a-side team. Younger players may play in an older age group's team, but not the other way round. ⏱ Format Each age group is divided into groups of 4–5 teams for the group stage; the top two in each group go into the Gold knockout, and 3rd and 4th go into the Silver (Integration Cup). Every team is guaranteed at least 4 matches. Matches are two halves of 25 minutes for 11-a-side and two halves of 20 minutes for 8-a-side, with a 5-minute half-time. Substitutions are unlimited (rolling) in both formats. A win earns 3 points and a draw 1; ties are broken by goal difference, goals scored, head-to-head result, number of yellow and red cards, and then a 3-kick penalty shoot-out. Draws in the knockout rounds and finals are decided by a 3-kick penalty shoot-out. 🏟 Organisation FIFA rules apply, together with additional rules of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF). Referees belong to national and international referee associations, and every match has a referee. Ages are checked on arrival day or at the opening ceremony using original ID cards, federation cards or passports, and before each match the team manager hands the players' documents to the pitch official. Teams must bring two kits and arrive at the pitch at least 15 minutes before kick-off. Match balls are provided by the organiser, as are warm-up balls. All players receive a participation medal, and cups are awarded to places 1–4 of the Championship Cup and places 1–2 of the Integration Cup. Registration includes a welcome kit, at least 4 matches, federation referees, bottled water at all matches, trophies and medals, and personal accident insurance. 🌊 About the area Optional programmes include a Madrid city tour (Prado Museum, Retiro Park, Puerta del Sol), a Santiago Bernabéu tour, a Metropolitano tour and Warner Madrid.
How to enter
Teams register as a team, and all payments are made by bank transfer. Payment is made in three instalments based on the proforma invoice sent by the organiser. 1️⃣ Download the dossier and pre-register · Download the tournament dossier from the official website and explain it to parents · Complete the registration form and send it to the organiser's office 2️⃣ Pre-registration confirmation · The organiser sends the pre-registration confirmation, a key for entering the player list and a proforma invoice 3️⃣ First payment · 10% of the total quoted amount is paid within 30 days of registration · Spanish teams are given raffle tickets to help fund their participation 4️⃣ Second and third payments · 40% of the total is paid up to 45 days before the tournament · The remaining 50% is paid up to 30 days before the tournament · Player and companion lists can be changed up to 15 days before the tournament 5️⃣ Entry fees and accommodation prices · For teams staying in hotels and local teams: 200 euros per team for 8-a-side and 250 euros per team for 11-a-side · Players not staying in accommodation: 120 euros per person · All three options include tournament participation and at least 4 matches · Hotels with full board start from 375 euros per person (3-star) and 440 euros per person (4-star) · Single room supplements are 110 euros (3-star) and 150 euros (4-star); extra nights are 90 euros and 105 euros per night respectively · Hotels request a deposit at check-in, which is returned at check-out if there is no damage 6️⃣ Cancellation policy · The registration fee that secures the team's place is not refunded if the team cancels · If some members cancel, accommodation, transport and other contracted services are fully refunded up to 30 days before the tournament · Between 30 and 7 days before, half is refunded; later than 7 days before, nothing is refunded · There is no refund for force majeure such as flight, train or bus delays or cancellations 7️⃣ Pre-tournament information · After the final payment, about one week before the tournament, teams receive the hotel name, phone number and location · The match schedule, opponents, pitch locations and the distance from the hotel to the pitches are also provided 📌 Summary Download the dossier and submit the registration form → receive pre-registration confirmation and proforma invoice → pay 10% within 30 days → 40% up to 45 days before → 50% up to 30 days before → final lists 15 days before → hotel and match schedule information one week before
