About the tournament

Copa Jordi is an international youth football tournament that began in 1985 and is held every year during Easter week. Around 200 teams from twelve European countries gather in Blanes-Tordera on the Costa Brava, north of Barcelona, to play in ten divisions. It is run jointly by the local club CF Tordera, Euro-Sportring and the Catalan Football Federation.

Copa Jordi is an international youth football tournament held during Easter week in Blanes-Tordera on the Costa Brava, Catalonia, Spain. First held in 1985, it has continued every year and has grown into a large tournament with teams from across Europe. 📅 Dates The 2027 tournament takes place from March 26 to 28. Teams arrive on Thursday and depart on Monday. · Thursday: check-in and welcome information at the Blanes sports arena, team leaders' meeting in the evening · Friday: matches begin; in the evening, a welcome ceremony with performances, national anthems, a flag parade and Catalan fireworks · Saturday: group matches according to the tournament schedule, free evening · Sunday: matches continue; UEFA Respect ceremony and awards ceremony in the afternoon · Monday: departure 📍 Venue Matches are played at Soccerland, a large sports park on the outskirts of the seaside resort of Blanes, and on 2 pitches at CF Tordera. Soccerland has several pitches, including artificial turf, as well as changing rooms, parking, first-aid facilities, a café-bar and a large shaded terrace. The pitches are laid out in terraces, so spectators can look down on the matches. During the tournament, a multilingual Euro-Sportring desk is open where team leaders can get the information they need. ⚽ Divisions There are ten divisions: boys' U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U17 and U19, and girls' U15 and U17. 🏆 Participating teams Around 200 teams take part. The twelve participating countries include Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, England, Scotland, Ireland, Sweden and Switzerland. ⏱ Format Matches start on Friday, continue with group matches on Saturday and run through Sunday, ending with the awards ceremony on Sunday afternoon. 🏟 Organisation The tournament is run jointly by the local club CF Tordera, Euro-Sportring's local team and the Catalan Football Federation. 🌊 About the area The Costa Brava and Costa Maresme, which stretch north of Barcelona, are well-known Spanish coastlines. Between Calella and Lloret de Mar there are sandy beaches and seafront promenades lined with cafés and restaurants, and from Lloret de Mar to Santa Susanna and Malgrat de Mar each town has its own character. A trip to Barcelona offers the Sagrada Família, Plaça de Catalunya, La Rambla, the Gothic Quarter, Montjuïc and Park Güell. A visit to FC Barcelona's Spotify Camp Nou, with a capacity of around 110,000, is also a popular outing.
