The Cordial Cup is an international youth football tournament held in the Kitzbühel Alps and Wilder Kaiser area of Tyrol, Austria. Held every year over the Pentecost holiday since its founding in 1998, it reaches its 29th edition in 2027, with the girls' Cordial Girls Cup held at the same time in its 16th edition. The finals are contested by teams that have come through 32 qualifiers held in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy.

The Cordial Cup is an international youth football tournament held in the Kitzbühel Alps and Wilder Kaiser area of Tyrol, Austria, reaching its 29th edition in 2027. The girls' event, the Cordial Girls Cup, is held at the same time in its 16th edition. 📅 Dates It takes place from 14 to 17 May 2027, over the Pentecost holiday. Qualifying tournaments run from September 2026 to April 2027 before the finals. For 2027 there are 32 qualifiers in total: 13 for U11, 11 for U13 and 8 for U15. Qualifiers are held in Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, Saxony, Rhineland-Palatinate and Hesse in Germany, Vienna and Tyrol in Austria, Graubünden in Switzerland and South Tyrol in Italy. 📍 Venues Pitches in 13 Tyrolean villages are used: Söll, Going, St. Johann in Tirol, Hopfgarten, Kirchberg, Fieberbrunn, Brixen, Kitzbühel, Ellmau, Reith, Westendorf, Kirchdorf and Oberndorf. The opening ceremony is held in Kirchberg and the finals in St. Johann in Tirol. ⚽ Categories There are three boys' categories and one girls' category. · U11 — born 2016·2017, small pitch · U13 — born 2014·2015, reduced full-size pitch 9 v 9 or full-size pitch 11 v 11 · U15 — born 2012·2013, full-size pitch · Girls Cup U15 — born 2012 or later 🏆 Teams The finals are contested by teams that have come through the qualifiers. Qualifiers are hosted by local clubs; a club wishing to host must have 2 grass pitches, or a grass pitch plus an artificial turf pitch. At the previous edition, German clubs such as Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Leverkusen, Stuttgart, Eintracht Frankfurt, Wolfsburg, Nürnberg, Werder Bremen and Augsburg took part, along with Austrian clubs such as the Red Bull Salzburg academy, St. Pölten and the WAC academy. Other participants included FC St. Gallen and Team Graubünden from Switzerland, Soroksár from Hungary, the Luxembourg national team, Norwich City from England, Manly United from Australia, Team Florida ODP from the USA and a team from Johannesburg, South Africa; FC Barcelona, Liverpool and Chelsea have also taken part in the past. 🏟 Organization There is no entry fee. The regional tourism board sponsors the tournament, keeping participation free. Since its founding in 1998, the tournament has been led by the same chief organizer, and the organizing company is HG Sport Promotion (Ringstraße 39, D-92361 Berngau). At the 2026 tournament, FC Bayern Munich won U11 and U13, 1. FC Nürnberg won U15, and FC Bayern Munich won the girls' U15. 🌊 About the area The Kitzbühel Alps and Wilder Kaiser are well-known mountain resort areas in Tyrol, Austria. Accommodation can be booked at special tournament rates in the tournament's partner hotels.

How to enter

Teams do not register directly for the Cordial Cup finals; they qualify through qualifying tournaments. Please follow the steps below. 1. In the qualifying (Qualifikation) schedule on the official website, choose your age category and qualifying tournament. 2. Register through that qualifying tournament's page. From September 2026 to April 2027 there are 13 qualifiers for U11, 11 for U13 and 8 for U15. 3. Play in the qualifying tournament and earn a place in the finals. 4. Once qualification is confirmed, arrange accommodation and travel following the organizers' guidance. There is no entry fee. 5.
