The Santa Ponsa Cup is an international youth football tournament held during Easter week in the Santa Ponsa area of Calvià, on the island of Mallorca, Spain. It is officially registered with the Balearic Islands Football Federation (FFIB), and the 2027 edition will have 96 teams and more than 1,800 players. 📅 Dates · Starts at 9 a.m. on March 24, 2027 and ends at 3 p.m. on March 28. 📍 Venue Matches are held at four venues in the Calvià area of Mallorca. · Santa Ponsa sports complex · Peguera sports complex · Calvià football ground · Son Ferrer football ground · All matches are played on modern artificial turf pitches; each venue has spectator stands, and matches are streamed live. ⚽ Divisions Four divisions are organised by year of birth. · U8 (Prebenjamín, 8-a-side) · born January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2020 · U10 (Benjamín, 8-a-side) · born January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2018 · U12 (Alevín, 7-a-side) · born January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2016 · U14 (Infantil, 11-a-side) · born January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2014 🏆 Participating teams · 96 teams and more than 1,800 players take part. · The tournament is described as bringing together well-known youth teams from Spain and abroad. ⏱ Format · The tournament has a preliminary stage and a final stage, and every team plays at least 5 matches. · The preliminary stage is a single round-robin league: U8, U10 and U12 are split into 6 groups of 6 teams, and U14 into 4 groups of 6 teams. · In the final stage for U8, U10 and U12, the top two teams in each group and the 4 best third-placed teams advance to the round of 16, followed by quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final. · In U14, the top teams play a final stage of quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final. · Final-stage matches have no extra time and are decided by penalties: 3 kickers for U8, U10 and U12, 5 for U14, followed by sudden death. · Match times: U8 and U10 play two halves of 12 minutes in the preliminary stage (3-minute break) and 15 minutes each in the final (3-minute break); U12 plays 15 minutes each in the preliminary stage (3-minute break) and 20 minutes each in the final (5-minute break); U14 plays 18 minutes each in the preliminary stage (3-minute break) and 25 minutes each in the final. · All teams must arrive at least 30 minutes before kick-off, and protests must be submitted in writing within 30 minutes after the match. Referee decisions cannot be protested. · Matches follow FIFA and Spanish Football Federation rules. 🏟 Organisation · It is an official tournament registered with the Balearic Islands Football Federation (FFIB), and referees are provided by the federation's referees' committee. · An emergency medical service with an ambulance, nurses, doctors and physiotherapists is in place. · Water and fruit are provided for players at every match, and warm-up balls and changing rooms are provided for each match. · Accompanying families can watch all matches free of charge. · Trophies are awarded to the winners and runners-up of each division, all participants receive medals, and there are individual awards for best player, best goalkeeper, top scorer and fair play. · Participating teams receive a set of raffle tickets to help raise funds for their travel costs. · The tournament is publicised through newspapers, radio and TV.

Entries are received through the tournament registration (Inscripción torneos) menu on the official website. The entry fee is not published on the official website, and the organisers provide it individually. 1. Fill in the entry form with the team name, contact person's details and division, and submit it. 3. Check the birth-year requirements for each division in the tournament rules. 4.
