The Uruguay Cup (Uruguay Cup Internacional - Copa Internacional de Fútbol Infantil) is an international youth football tournament held in Montevideo, Uruguay. The organizer, El Futuro del Fútbol, held the first edition in January 2011 and has since run two editions every year, in January and September; the January 2027 tournament is the 34th edition. 📅 Tournament dates According to the official 'key dates' notice, the 34th edition runs from January 16 to 24, 2027. The application deadline is January 1 and the entry fee payment deadline is January 5. 📍 Venue The tournament is held at Complejo Santa Rita in Montevideo. ✈️ Airport transfers The organizers run transport packages sized to each delegation. They include transfer from the airport to the accommodation on arrival, daily round trips between the accommodation and the venue, and transfer from the accommodation to the airport on departure day. ⚽ Divisions The January 2027 tournament has ten boys' divisions and two girls' divisions. · Boys: U17, U15, U14, and players born in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 · Girls: U14, U12 🏟 Organization Each division has a fixed number of places; teams that pay the entry fee first secure a place in the official group draw, with accommodation booked at the same time. The official website publishes separate lists of participating teams for each edition. The tournament has previously been declared of National Interest (Interés Nacional) by Uruguay's Ministry of Tourism and Sport, of sporting interest by the National Sports Secretariat and the Presidency, and of tourism interest by the Ministry of Tourism. Adidas is the official sponsor, and the September edition of the same year is held at Polideportivo Carrasco. Accommodation can be booked at four hotels in central Montevideo (including Crystal Palace, Dazzler and Kolping), group lodgings or summer houses. 🌊 About the area Montevideo, where the tournament is held, is the capital of Uruguay; January is midsummer in the Southern Hemisphere.

How to enter

Applications are taken on the Inscripciones page of the official website (uruguaycup.com). Each division has a limited number of places, and places are confirmed in the order entry fees are paid. 1. Check the division you wish to enter on the Inscripciones page of the official website and apply. 2. Pay the entry fee. Payment secures your place in the official group draw and also books your accommodation. 3. Uruguayan teams pay by deposit to a Banco Itaú account; international teams pay by Western Union or MoneyGram transfer, or by bank transfer (Banco Itaú Uruguay S.A., Swift ITAUUYMM, beneficiary Gustavo Antonio Costela Pintos, account 1635386). Accommodation booking fees are paid the same way. 4. Check the deadlines.
