It is an adults-only tournament, separate from the youth tournament Versilia Cup Viareggio run by the same company. 📅 Schedule The tournament runs from May 21 to May 23, 2027. Teams arrive and check in at the hotel on Friday, and group matches are played on Saturday and Sunday morning. On Sunday, the final round is followed by the awards ceremony to close the tournament. 📍 Venue Matches are played at sports facilities in the Versilia area, and teams stay at selected hotels in Marina di Pietrasanta within walking distance of the beach. Versilia is a well-known Italian seaside resort area, famous for its fine sandy beaches and beach clubs. ⚽ Divisions There are two divisions. · 5-a-side football — open category, 5 vs 5 · 7-a-side football — open category, 7 vs 7 It is an open tournament that anyone can enter, regardless of level. 🏆 Teams At the previous edition, 25 teams from 5 countries took part in 2 divisions, and matches were played at one sports facility. Over the years, teams have come from Italy, Belgium, Ireland, England, France and Algeria. ⏱ Format Teams are divided into groups of 3 or 4 and play a single round-robin group stage before moving on to the final round. All players must carry valid ID. 🏟 Organization The tournament is run by IFE Sportland, and the official travel package is put together and provided by IFE Travel Srl (based in Milan). Matches, accommodation and local activities are combined in one package, and teams register as a group. 🌊 About the area Versilia is one of the leading resort areas on the Tuscan coast. You can walk along the seaside promenade, try Tuscan food, and enjoy the lively beach bars and clubs in the evening. Nearby Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi and Pietrasanta offer shopping, art and beach culture. Lucca, known for its Renaissance walls, Pisa with its Leaning Tower and Piazza del Duomo, and Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance, are all close by, so you can plan a trip around Tuscany along with the tournament.
