The Gallini Cup is an international youth football tournament held over the Easter holidays around Pordenone in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of Italy. The 2027 tournament runs from 26 to 29 March and is the 29th edition. 📅 Dates · 26 to 29 March 2027. · The opening ceremony is on Friday at 3 pm, and the group stage and knockout matches are played on Saturday and Sunday. · A tournament party is held on Sunday evening, followed by the semi-finals, finals and award ceremony on Monday. 📍 Venue · Matches are spread across natural and artificial grass pitches in Pordenone, Sacile, Porcia, Prata, Pasiano and Montereale Valcellina. · Team accommodation is assigned within 15 km of the pitches. ⚽ Categories · U12 is a mixed boys' and girls' category for players born in 2015 or later. · B14 is for players born in 2013 or later, B15 for players born in 2012 or later, and B16 for players born in 2011 or later. · There is no separate girls' category; the organizers run a separate women's tournament, the Donna Cup. 🏆 Teams · The organizers state that more than 100 teams from 5 continents are selected each year. · Each group in the first round includes one European professional club, one foreign team, one elite youth academy and one Italian team. · Youth teams of professional clubs such as AS Roma, Udinese, AC Monza and Padova Calcio have confirmed their participation. ⏱ Match format · U12 plays 9-a-side on a reduced pitch with a size 4 ball; the other categories play 11-a-side on a full-size pitch with a size 5 ball. · Match duration is two 20-minute halves for U12 and two 25-minute halves for B14, B15 and B16. · In U12, every player on the roster must play at least half of the match; substitutions are only allowed at half-time, and players may not re-enter except for mandatory reasons. · From B14 to B16, up to 7 substitutions can be made at any time, but substituted players may not return. · Rolling substitutions are not allowed in any category. · Every team plays at least 6 matches over three days, and teams reaching the final play 7. 🏟 Organization · The tournament is organized by the Gallini Cup organizing committee, and part of the program is run together with the Torneo Cornacchia World Cup. · All matches are refereed by referees of the Italian Football Federation. · The 2026 tournament had 4,236 people with accommodation bookings. 🌊 About the area · Pordenone lies between Venice, Austria and Slovenia, and Venice can be visited by train.

How to enter

To take part in the Gallini Cup, teams send a participation request through the official website and are then selected by the organizers. 1. Participation request Fill in your team details on the registration page of the official website and send a participation request. 2. Selection by the organizers The organizers review the requests and select the participating teams. Each year, more than 100 teams from 5 continents are selected. 3. Participation documents Italian teams must be registered with the Italian Football Federation, and foreign teams must submit an authorization from their national federation. 4.
