Details

Bangkok International Supercup is an international youth 7-a-side football tournament held at the Football Association of Thailand's National Training Centre in Nong Chok, Bangkok. It was started in 2008 and has been run by iPlay Sports Co., Ltd. (Bangkok Centre of Excellence), and the organizers describe it as the top international youth football tournament in Asia. It is held twice a year, in summer and winter, and the summer 2027 tournament is the 19th year. 📅 Schedule The summer 2027 tournament runs over two days, Saturday and Sunday, June 5 to June 6. The June 2027 info pack is available in the downloads section of the official website. The tournament starts on Saturday morning and ends at 3:30 pm on Sunday, followed immediately by an awards ceremony for all teams. The December winter tournament is held at the same venue. 📍 Venue All matches are played at the Football Association of Thailand's Nong Chok National Football Centre in Bangkok. The facility, on a 32-hectare (80-acre) site, was officially opened on September 16, 2009, by then-FIFA President Sepp Blatter. With 5 full-size 11-a-side pitches, it can host up to 20 FIFA-standard 7-a-side matches at once, so the whole tournament takes place in one location rather than being spread across several venues. The site also has about 50 rooms, including 4 dormitory buildings, the Nong Chok sports stadium, a medical room, a fitness center, a swimming pool and artificial turf training pitches. ✈️ Airport transfers The venue is close to Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok. The official website does not give a specific travel time. ⚽ Divisions The summer tournament has five divisions: U8, U10, U12, U14 and U16. The December winter tournament has U7, U9, U11, U13 and U15 divisions. To be eligible, players must be under the division's age limit as of January 1 of the tournament year. Girls may play in the division one year below. ⏱ Format FIFA Laws of the Game apply, with exceptions adapted for iPlay 7-a-side youth tournaments. · Each team plays with 7 players including the goalkeeper; a match cannot start with fewer than 4 players and is recorded as a 0-2 loss. · Teams may register up to 12 players, and registration must be completed before the tournament starts. No players can be added once the tournament has started. · Unlimited rolling substitutions are allowed. · After the group stage, teams split into three final brackets — Cup, Plate and Bowl — and every team is guaranteed at least 8 matches: 5 group matches and 3 final-stage matches. · Matches in all divisions are a single 22-minute period with no half-time, and the referee may add up to 2 minutes of extra time. · The start and end of matches are signalled by a horn. · Pitches are at least 35m x 50m, and goals are 5m x 2m. · Ball sizes: size 3 for U8, size 4 for U10 and U12, size 5 for U14 and U16. · All referees are certified by the Football Association of Thailand. 🏆 Teams Clubs and academies from several Asian countries have taken part regularly. Teams from Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore (including ESPZen), Hong Kong (including BFA) and Cambodia have appeared in participation news and reviews on the official website. 🏟 Organization The info pack, tournament rules, team registration form (PDF and Word), Fees Schedule and services information can be downloaded from the downloads section of the official website.
