The Costa Blanca Cup is an international youth football tournament held every summer in Benidorm, a resort town in the province of Alicante, Spain, and in the nearby Marina Alta and Marina Baixa areas. Running since 1994, it offers a wide range of boys' and girls' categories in 11-a-side and 8-a-side, and attracts clubs from more than 25 countries.

The Costa Blanca Cup is an international youth football tournament held every summer in Benidorm, a resort town in the province of Alicante, Spain. Running since 1994, it is organized by Tour-Sport Promociones Deportivas and is open to clubs, football schools and school teams. 📅 Tournament dates The 2027 tournament runs for seven days, from 4 to 10 July. · The first day is for team arrivals, player age checks, collection of materials and check-in at the accommodation. · Matches start on the second day, which also includes the opening ceremony and official team photos. · The group stage ends on the fourth day, and the knockout stage begins on the fifth day. · The first finals and a football party take place on the sixth day, and the remaining finals on the last day. The match schedule is published on the official website two weeks before the tournament starts. 📍 Venues Matches are spread across pitches in Benidorm and the nearby Marina Alta and Marina Baixa areas. The host towns are L'Alfàs del Pi, Altea, Benidorm, Calpe, Finestrat, La Nucia and La Vila Joiosa, and a new venue has also been added in Alicante due to demand. Pitches are natural or artificial grass, and travel from accommodation to the pitches takes no more than 30 minutes. To avoid the heat, no matches are scheduled in the middle of the day. ✈️ Airport transfers The nearest airport is Alicante Airport, 55 km from Benidorm. By road, the AP7 motorway and the N-332 national road pass through Benidorm. ⚽ Categories The age categories for the 2027 tournament are as follows. · 11-a-side boys: B19, B17, B16, B15, B14, B13 · 11-a-side girls: G19, G16, G14 · 8-a-side boys: B12, B11, B10, B8 · 8-a-side girls: G12 In the girls' categories, 2 to 4 older players may be registered per category. Teams from countries with a different age cut-off date, such as the United States or the United Kingdom, may register according to their own country's cut-off date. 🏆 Participating teams The official website states that clubs from more than 25 countries take part, and its list of participating countries includes 33 countries. The list includes Middle Eastern countries such as Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and Jordan; Caribbean countries such as the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Jamaica; as well as Japan, China, Thailand, India, Australia and Brazil. ⏱ Match format All categories play a group stage in groups of four or five teams. · The first and second teams in each group go into the Final A knockout, and the third and fourth into the Final B knockout. · Every team is guaranteed at least four matches. · Matches last 25 minutes per half for 11-a-side and 20 minutes per half for 8-a-side; only finals have a 5-minute half-time. · Knockout matches and finals that end in a draw go to a penalty shoot-out with five players per team. · Squads can have up to 25 players for 11-a-side (20 called up per match) and up to 18 for 8-a-side, with rolling substitutions. 🏟 Tournament operations All players go through an age check on arrival day and must show an original ID card or passport. Matches are officiated by registered referees from national and international referee associations, with medical support at every match and sports accident insurance without a coverage limit. All meals are served as buffets at the accommodation hotels, and results can be followed in real time in the dedicated tournament app. 🌊 About the area The Costa Blanca is a well-known resort area on Spain's Mediterranean coast, with sunshine, clear sea and plenty of things to see and do. The organizers present the tournament as a week combining football and holiday, and offer discounts at nearby theme parks such as Aqualandia and Terra Mítica.

How to enter

Registration for the Costa Blanca Cup is done online through the official website, costablancacup.com. 1. Check the categories Choose the right category for your team from 11-a-side B19, B17, B16, B15, B14 and B13; 8-a-side B12, B11, B10 and B8; girls' 11-a-side G19, G16 and G14; and girls' 8-a-side G12. 2. Register online Register online on the official website. 3. Check the schedule Groups, match schedules and venue locations are published on the official website two weeks before the tournament starts. 5. Arrival and age check After arriving at your accommodation on the first day, all players go through an age check. Players without an original ID card or passport cannot be registered; for the B12, B11, B10 and G12 categories, a federation registration card may be used instead. 6.
