The Croatia Football Festival is an international boys' youth football tournament held by KOMM MIT International of Germany in Pula and Medulin on the Istrian peninsula, Croatia. The 2027 edition is the 28th. 📅 Dates The 2027 tournament runs from 15 to 19 May over the Pentecost holiday, with 4 nights' accommodation. The registration deadline is 2 April 2027. On the first day teams arrive in Medulin and check in, and in the evening there is a tournament briefing for coaches and group leaders. On the second day, after a team parade through Pula's old town, the opening ceremony is held in the Pula Arena with the national anthems of the participating countries. On the third day there is a skills session for all age groups, a torchlight procession and a campfire. On the fourth day the quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals are played, with the award ceremony in the evening; teams travel home on the fifth day. 📍 Venues Matches are played on natural grass and artificial turf pitches on Croatia's Adriatic coast, overlooking the sea. Depending on the number of participants, other nearby football pitches are also used. ⚽ Categories There are four categories: U17 boys, U15 boys, U13 boys and U11 boys (7-a-side). 🏆 Teams The organizers state an average participation of about 40 teams. Expected participating countries are Germany, Italy, Croatia, Austria, Romania, Slovenia, Israel and Serbia. ⏱ Match format The U11 category is played 7-a-side. Group matches are followed by quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals. 🏟 Organization Accommodation is in holiday complexes and resort hotels in Pula and Medulin, in shared rooms with shower and toilet. Group leaders and accompanying adults can have single rooms at extra cost (one per 20 people, or one per team for smaller groups). Meals are half board with Croatian and international dishes; the first meal is dinner and the last is breakfast. Lunch can be booked additionally on request. Most accommodation is within walking distance of the pitches. 🌊 About the area Outside the matches, teams can choose from sightseeing in Pula, Poreč and Rovinj, boat tours, and karting. After matches, teams can relax by the sea at seaside taverns and use a local water sports centre.
