The Istria Cup is an international boys' youth football tournament organised by KOMM MIT International, a sports travel company based in Bonn, Germany. The 2027 tournament is the 29th edition and is held in the Pula and Medulin area of the Istrian peninsula, Croatia. 📅 Dates The 2027 tournament takes place over Easter, from March 25 to March 29. The application deadline is February 12, 2027, and stays of 4 to 7 nights can be chosen. On arrival day, registration, distribution of tournament materials and check-in take place at the meeting point in Medulin, and in the evening there is an introduction of the KOMM MIT team and a tournament briefing for coaches and group leaders. On the morning of March 25, the participating groups parade through Pula's old town, followed by the opening ceremony with national anthems at the Pula Arena; the opening matches and group stage start in the afternoon. On March 26, the group stage continues; during the day there is a skills programme for all age groups, and in the evening a torchlight parade and campfire for younger players. On March 27, the quarter-finals and semi-finals are played in the morning, the finals in the afternoon and the awards ceremony in the evening. On the mornings of March 28 and 29, teams return home or continue with additional programmes they have booked. 📍 Venue Matches are played on natural and artificial grass pitches in a coastal complex overlooking the Adriatic Sea. Other nearby pitches are also used if more are needed. The opening ceremony is held in Pula's Roman amphitheatre. ⚽ Divisions Five boys' divisions: U11 (7-a-side), U13, U15, U17 and U19. 🏆 Participating teams The organisers state that around 80 teams take part on average, and teams are expected from Germany, Italy, Croatia, Austria, Switzerland, Slovenia, Bulgaria and Canada. 🏟 Organisation Accommodation is in multi-bed rooms in holiday complexes and resort hotels in Pula and Medulin, with shower and toilet. Meals are half board with Croatian and international dishes; the first meal is dinner and the last is breakfast. Lunch can be added on request. Accompanying adults can book single rooms for a surcharge, on the basis of one room per 20 people (or one per team if the group is smaller).
