The Girls-Football-Festival is an international football festival for girls and women only, organized by KOMM MIT International, a sports travel company based in Bonn, Germany. The 2027 event is the 5th edition and takes place in Pula and Medulin on Croatia's Adriatic coast. 📅 Dates The 2027 festival runs from 29 March to 2 April over the Easter period. The registration deadline is 15 February 2027, and accommodation is chosen for 4 to 6 nights. Teams arrive in Medulin by noon on 29 March to complete registration, collect tournament materials and check in at the meeting point; in the evening, the KOMM MIT team is introduced and a tournament briefing is held for coaches and team leaders. On the morning of 30 March, the participating teams parade through Pula's old town, followed by the opening ceremony with national anthems at the Pula Arena; the opening matches and group stage begin in the afternoon. On 31 March, the group stage continues, with a skills program for all ages during the day and a torchlight procession and campfire in the evening. On the morning of 1 April, the quarter-finals and semi-finals begin, and the official end date is 2 April. 📍 Venue Matches are played on natural and artificial grass pitches at a coastal complex overlooking the Adriatic. Other nearby pitches are used if more are needed. The opening ceremony takes place at Pula's Roman amphitheater. ⚽ Categories There are four categories: girls U13 (7-a-side), U15 (7-a-side), U17 and women aged 17 and over. 🏆 Teams The organizers state that the event averages around 70 teams, with more than 500 participants from across Europe. Teams are expected from Germany, Croatia, Austria, Switzerland, Slovenia, Serbia, Italy and Kosovo. 🏟 Organization Accommodation is in multi-bed rooms with shower and toilet at holiday complexes and resort hotels in Pula and Medulin. Meals are half board with Croatian and international cuisine; the first meal is dinner and the last is breakfast. Lunch can be added on request. Accompanying adults can book single rooms for an extra charge, at a rate of one room per 20 people (or one room per team if the group is smaller). The entry fee is not published on the official page, so please contact the organizers separately. Besides football, optional programs such as city tours of Pula, Poreč and Rovinj, boat trips and go-karting are available. 🌊 About the area Pula and Medulin are coastal towns at the southern tip of the Istrian peninsula in Croatia. The area is known for its bays and peninsulas and for its Roman amphitheater.
