The Netherlands Cup is an international boys' youth football tournament held in Ommen, the Netherlands, by KOMM MIT International of Germany. The 2027 edition is the 14th. 📅 Dates The 2027 tournament runs from 6 to 9 May over the Ascension Day holiday, with 3 nights' accommodation. The registration deadline is 26 March 2027. On the first day, a team parade and opening ceremony are held at the Ommen stadium, followed by the opening match and group matches. The group matches, quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals are played on the second and third days, ending with the award ceremony; teams travel home on the fourth day. 📍 Venue Matches are played at the large FC Ommen sports complex in Ommen, the Netherlands. It has natural grass and artificial turf pitches, with changing rooms and showers at the venue. ⚽ Categories There are three categories: U15 boys, U13 boys (7-a-side) and U11 boys (7-a-side). 🏆 Teams The organizers state an average participation of about 70 teams. Expected participating countries are Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Finland and the Netherlands. ⏱ Match format The U13 and U11 categories are played 7-a-side. Group matches are followed by quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals. 🏟 Organization Accommodation is at the SLAGHAREN amusement park, about 20 km from Ommen. Teams can choose between 'Wigwam Deluxe' tents, 'Cowboy Cottages' and 'Hacienda' bungalows for up to 6 people. All accommodation has cooking facilities, a fridge and a private bathroom. Meals are half board, with breakfast and dinner included, and there is a kiosk run by the host club at the venue. During the stay, the park's 40 or so attractions can be used free of charge (except Aqua Mexicana). There is no shuttle bus between the accommodation and the venue, so teams must arrange their own local transport. 🌊 About the area Outside the matches, teams can visit the Slagharen amusement park, the zoo in Emmen, Preston Palace in Almelo, Giethoorn (known as the 'Venice of the Netherlands') and a karting track.
