The BCN Cup is an international youth football tournament held over six days in Catalonia, near Barcelona, Spain. 📅 Tournament dates The 2027 tournament runs for six days, from 29 June to 4 July. The opening ceremony, finals and trophy presentation take place at the Terrassa Olympic Stadium. 📍 Venues Matches are spread across four venues near Barcelona. · Estadi Olímpic de Terrassa (Terrassa) — main stadium · A ground in Cerdanyola del Vallès · The municipal ground in Ripollet · A ground in Sabadell All pitches are natural or artificial grass, and aluminium studs are not allowed. Each venue has a snack bar, toilets, changing rooms and spectator stands. ⚽ Categories There are 17 categories in total: 11 for boys and 6 for girls. · 7-a-side boys — B7 (born on or after 1 January 2020), B8 (2019 onwards), B9 (2018 onwards), B10 (2017 onwards), B11 (2016 onwards), B12 (2015 onwards) · 11-a-side boys — B13 (2014 onwards), B14 (2013 onwards), B15 (2012 onwards), B16 (2011 onwards), B19 (2008 onwards) · 7-a-side girls — G10 (2017 onwards), G12 (2015 onwards), G14 (2013 onwards) · 11-a-side girls — G14 (2013 onwards), G16 (2011 onwards), G19 (2008 onwards) 🏆 Participating teams Each category has 32 teams, playing a single round-robin in groups of four. ⏱ Match format Every team is guaranteed at least 4 matches. Matches last 20 minutes per half for 7-a-side and 25 minutes per half for 11-a-side, with a 2-minute half-time. Teams may not go to the changing rooms at half-time. Each team has three substitution windows and may also use the opponent's substitution windows. Substituted players may re-enter unless they have been sent off. In the group stage, a win is worth 3 points, a draw 1 point and a loss 0 points. Ties are broken by head-to-head goal difference, overall goal difference, goals scored and then the younger team. If a Gold or Silver round match ends in a draw, each team takes three penalties, followed by sudden death if still level. Matches follow FIFA, Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and Catalan Football Federation (FCF) rules, and are officiated by Catalan Football Federation referees. 🏟 Tournament operations The tournament is an official competition of the Catalan Football Federation. Trophies are awarded to the winners and runners-up in each category, with individual awards for the MVP and best goalkeeper in each category. A dedicated app with tournament information is provided, and services include booking management, on-site guidance and support, and social media coverage. The BCN Cup brand is a business of SWIT SPORT S.L., with local clubs such as Terrassa FC, Club Natació Terrassa and CF Ripollet taking part as partners. Teams can choose between accommodation arranged by the organizers or their own accommodation; according to travel agency packages, costs vary with the accommodation category. 🌊 About the area The organizers present time in Barcelona between matches—Mediterranean beaches, architecture, food and culture—as part of the tournament experience.

How to enter

Registration is done through the official website, and teams must also complete player registration and document checks before the tournament. 1. Check the categories Check the right category and birth-year rules for your team in the categories (Categorías) section of the official website. 2. Review the information pack Download the information pack (Dossier) in Spanish or English to check the schedule, venues, match format and services provided. 3. Register your team Apply using the registration button on the website. 4. Register participants Register all players and coaching staff on the tournament platform by 14 May 2027. Only registered and accredited people may enter the bench area at the pitch. 5. Bring documents Bring identity documents (ID card, passport or federation registration card) for every player to each match. Documents are checked before the tournament starts, and checks may also take place without notice before or after matches. 📌 Registration summary · Players and coaching staff cannot be changed once the tournament has started. · Participants and coaching staff must wear the wristband provided and are checked before each match. · A player may also play for another team of the same club only in a higher category, and only if at least 5 hours have passed since the end of the previous match. · The entry fee is not published on the official website. According to travel agency packages, teams using the organizers' accommodation pay around 400 to 850 euros, and teams arranging their own accommodation around 1,200 to 1,700 euros. · Contact: info@bcncup.es
