The 7th edition takes place from June 18 to 23, 2027, with boys', girls' and inclusive categories. It is a large-scale tournament with the Atlético de Madrid Academy, the Spanish Football Federation and the Community of Madrid as partners, and the previous 2026 edition brought together 800 teams from 36 countries.

MAD CUP FOOTBALL is an international youth football tournament organized by MADCUP, S.L. across the Madrid region of Spain. The 2027 tournament is its 7th edition. 📅 Tournament dates It runs for six days, from June 18 to 23, 2027. Teams arrive on Friday, June 18, and matches start at 7 p.m. From Saturday, June 19 to Monday, June 21, group-stage matches start at 9 a.m., and a celebration event takes place on Monday. On Tuesday, June 22 and Wednesday, June 23, the knockout rounds, finals and award ceremonies take place from 9 a.m. Just before the tournament, on June 16 and 17, the Sports Summit Madrid is held for coaches and directors of participating teams. 📍 Venue The main venue is Atlético de Madrid's sports center in Alcalá de Henares (Av. Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer, 1, 28806 Alcalá de Henares). Matches are spread across venues throughout the Madrid region. At the previous 2026 edition, more than 94 pitches at 32 venues in 11 municipalities were used, including Valdebebas, Navalcarbón and the Recinto Ferial in Las Rozas, and the Ernesto Cotorruelo sports center in Carabanchel. ⚽ Categories There are twelve boys' categories, six girls' categories and an inclusive category, with eligibility determined by year of birth. · Boys — B19 (born 2008, by sporting invitation), B17 (born 2010), B16 (born 2011), B15 (born 2012), B14 (born 2013), B13 (born 2014), B12 (born 2015), B11 (born 2016), B10 (born 2017), U9 (born 2018), U8 (born 2019), U7 (born 2020) · Girls — G19 (born 2008), G16 (born 2011), G14 11-a-side (born 2013), G14 7-a-side (born 2013), G12 (born 2015), G10 (born 2017) · Inclusive category Only teams that receive a sporting invitation can enter the boys' B19 category. 🏆 Participating teams The previous, 6th edition in 2026 brought together 800 teams and more than 14,500 players from 36 countries. Places are limited, and in recent editions not all teams that applied could be accepted. Only teams that complete registration and pay in full are included in the group draw. ⏱ Match format The tournament has three stages: group stage, knockout rounds and finals. Each team is guaranteed at least 4 matches. In the group stage, groups of 4–5 teams play each other once in a league format. The final stage is divided into MAD CUP Champions, Oro, Plata and Bronce, and all matches are single-elimination. Matches are two halves of 20 minutes for 7-a-side and 25 minutes for 11-a-side, and two halves of 30 minutes for the U19 category. This structure may change depending on the final number of teams. 🏟 Organization The Atlético de Madrid Academy, the Madrid Football Federation, the Spanish Football Federation, the Community of Madrid and UN Tourism take part as strategic partners. Participating teams have an accreditation process, an official app and live results, and the finals are broadcast through an official stream. The celebration event on June 21 includes a parade of international teams. At the previous 2026 edition, more than 20,000 people gathered at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano. A MAD CUP fan ranking evaluates spectator behavior, and supporters can take part by registering as a fan group in advance. 🌊 About the area Madrid is one of Europe's major capitals. Through MAD CUP Experience, each team can add optional activities to its schedule, such as stadium tours, specialized sports experiences, cultural visits, theme parks and city sightseeing.

How to enter

Registration for MAD CUP opens with pre-registration on the official website. Places are limited, so early registration is recommended. 1. Download the 2027 tournament information from the official website and check the categories and schedule. The information is available in Spanish, English and French. 2. Fill in and submit the pre-registration form on the official website or on the dedicated registration system (madcupgestion.com/RegistroFutbolMadrid.aspx). 3. Choose your accommodation option. Teams not using MAD CUP accommodation pay 245 euros per player from September 1, 2026 until registration closes. 4. For teams using MAD CUP accommodation, the team entry fee depends on when you register: 400 euros from September 1 to December 1, 2026; 500 euros from December 2, 2026 to February 1, 2027; and 600 euros from February 2 to May 10, 2027. 5. Teams from the Madrid region should contact the organizers directly to confirm their conditions. 6. Participation is confirmed only once full payment has been made. Registration is valid from the date payment is completed, and only confirmed teams are included in the group draw. 7.
