MICFootball7 is an international youth football tournament held in Catalonia, Spain. It is the sister tournament of the 11-a-side international tournament MICFootball (MIC), started in 2003 to give young players a professional-style experience, and the 2026 tournament was the 22nd edition. The information below is based on the previous 22nd edition, the last one published on the official website. The 2027 dates have not yet been announced, and the website only shows the message "See you in 2027!". 📅 Schedule The 2027 tournament is expected to take place in June, but the exact dates have not yet been published. The previous 22nd edition ran over three days. Teams arrived and checked in at their hotels on Friday, the group stage began on Saturday, and on Sunday all divisions entered the final phase, with finals in the afternoon. 📍 Venue The previous 22nd edition used a total of 13 pitches at three host towns: Cambrils, Reus and Riudoms. From 2003 to the 17th edition, the tournament was held in the mountains of Andorra, and since 2022 it has moved to the Costa Daurada coast. ⚽ Divisions There are five divisions. The birth-year criteria at the previous 22nd edition were: · Born on or after January 1, 2014 · Born on or after January 1, 2015 · Born on or after January 1, 2016 · Born on or after January 1, 2017 · Born on or after January 1, 2018 Boys and girls can play in the same divisions. 🏆 Teams The previous 22nd edition had teams from 18 countries, which the organizers describe as the most international edition so far. The edition before that also had more than 130 teams. From Spain, teams such as FC Barcelona, RCD Espanyol, Málaga CF, Valencia CF, Villarreal CF and Atlético de Madrid take part regularly. From abroad, Paris Saint-Germain, Olympique Lyonnais, an RCD Espanyol school from Algeria, a club from Japan, a team from the United States and others have taken part. The winners at the previous edition were U12 THE A Academy, U11 RCD Espanyol, U10 a club from Laos, U9 NFU (Russia) and U8 FC Barcelona. 🏟 Organization Physiotherapy and medical support are provided during matches, along with fruit and water. Accommodation is in hotels in Salou. Participation includes a 1-day PortAventura Park ticket. Cameras are installed on the main pitches, and matches can be watched free of charge on the MICFootball TV platform. At the previous 22nd edition, the streamed pitches were pitches 1 and 2 in Cambrils, pitch 4 in Riudoms, and pitches 7 and 11 at two venues in Reus. 🌊 About the area The Costa Daurada, where the tournament is held, is a coastal area in the province of Tarragona and a popular family holiday destination in Spain. How to enter
