Villarreal Summer is the Villarreal Yellow Cup Summer, an international youth football tournament organized directly by the Spanish LaLiga club Villarreal CF. The 2027 tournament takes place around Castellón from June 24 to 27 and is run as a four-day celebration to close the season. 📅 Tournament dates · It runs for four days, from Thursday, June 24 to Sunday, June 27, 2027. · Day 1: arrival and check-in, collection of registration documents, accreditation wristbands and official merchandise, and the opening ceremony. · The opening ceremony starts at 19:00 on the first day, with a team parade, a medal ceremony, an exclusive cocktail event and fireworks. · Day 2: the group stage begins with morning and afternoon matches, along with a visit to the Estadio de la Cerámica. · Day 3: ranking matches and consolation rounds, followed by a coaches' dinner in the evening. · Day 4: after hotel check-out, the final rounds are played, with awards for the winners and runners-up, the MVP, the top scorer and the best goalkeeper. 📍 Venue · Matches are played at the Estadio de la Cerámica, the José Manuel Llaneza sports city, the Pamesa Cerámica sports city and the Pau Francisco Torres municipal sports city. · The host area is around Villarreal in the province of Castellón, Spain. ⚽ Categories · Boys 7-a-side: U7–U8 Prebenjamín, born 2020–2019; U9 Benjamín 1st year, born 2018; U10 Benjamín 2nd year, born 2017; U11 Alevín 1st year, born 2016; U12 Alevín 2nd year, born 2015. · Boys 11-a-side: U13 Infantil, born 2014; U14 Infantil, born 2013; U15–U16 Cadete, born 2012–2011. · Girls: U13 Alevín/Infantil, born 2015–2014, play 7-a-side; U14 Infantil, born 2014–2013, and U16 Cadete, born 2012–2011, play 11-a-side. ⏱ Match format · Each team is guaranteed at least 4 matches. · All matches are officiated by federation-registered referees. · Youth teams from professional clubs take part in every category. 🏟 Organization · It is an official tournament organized directly by Villarreal CF. · Players receive hotel accommodation with all meals, official merchandise, medical support and personal insurance, water and fruit during matches, a visit to the Estadio de la Cerámica, entry to the tournament party, a medal and awards at the closing ceremony. · Accompanying families receive hotel accommodation on the conditions requested, official merchandise, an accreditation wristband, VIP entry to the tournament party, an exclusive cocktail event, a stadium visit, a Villarreal museum experience, and free entry to all matches and events. · An ambulance is stationed at every venue, the finals are streamed by a professional broadcast, and schedules and results can be checked in the official app. · Entry fees are published only in the information pack on the official website, so you need to download it to check them. 🌊 About the area · The Castellón area, where the tournament is held, is the Costa Azahar tourist region on the Mediterranean, with EU-recognized Blue Flag beaches.
